Let me help you get the word out! I am experienced with product launches, building brand awareness, developing social media strategy and social media management, media engagement, event planning/marketing, marketing and PR communications (press releases, press kits, brochures, online/print publications, queries, pitch letters and speech writing) as well as copywriting (ad copy, banner and logo design), editing and proofreading. I'm also a darn good storyteller.
I helped to launch and successfully bring to market Crock-Pot Cuisine, a subscription-based direct-to-consumer meal delivery service for Jarden Consumer Solutions, a Fortune 500 Company. This included market strategy and analysis, demographics, website creation, creating online ad copy and video advertising copy, logo creation, and writing and editing web copy.
As part of a three month contract, developed and executed an extensive brand awareness and social media campaign as part of Virginia Wine's March Wine and Dine Month. Strategized, executed and managed all social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest) for March Wine and Dine Month which included engaging media influencers, marketing programs and events, and increasing traffic and overall interaction across multi-media channels.
I recently served as a representative of Virginia wine and Virginia food alongside Virginia's Secretary of Agriculture at the 2015 Taste of the South event held at the U.S. Ambassador to the U.K.'s residence in London, England where I participated in several media interviews (radio and online) and created some of Virginia's best traditional recipes for over 300 media attendees.
I am well-versed in different formats such as radio, print, television and web, and I am well connected to the local (Richmond, VA) and national media. I have extensive on-air experience (television, radio, podcasts, live media) and public speaking experience. I'm also a former columnist with the Richmond Times Dispatch newspaper.
My work has been featured in Parade Magazine, USA Weekend, Parents magazine, Better Homes and Gardens special interest books, NPR, CNN Eatocracy, Garden and Gun magazine, Saveur.com, Taste of the South magazine, The Learning Channel, Tastebook.com, Tasting Table, Chili Pepper magazine, Food Republic, The Washington Post, Associated Press, AOL, Orbitz, WE Network, Virginia Living magazine, Richmond Magazine, Style Weekly, and the Richmond Times Dispatch (where I was a food and recipe columnist for four years). I served as a judge for the 2011 and 2013 James Beard Journalism Awards. Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
